Let's start on the inside.
Stoneridge Guy and worker setting the cabinets

Earlier this week we went to town and ordered our granite counter tops. I'm hoping that by the middle of July you will be able to see a completed kitchen.
Another Stoneridge friend and neighbor Carol and her significant other Dennis helped us find some furniture. We now have a new couch, love seat, accessory tables and dining table.
Father's Day will bring a new leather glider recliner for Stoneridge Guy, also found by Carol and Dennis.
The mud/laundry room is complete and the next project will be tiling the guest bathroom. We are still deciding what we want on the vanity top but we should have a working bathroom soon.
Would you be surprised if I told you there was a setback? We've been looking for knotty alder doors and thought we found the right doors at a great price. Instead of getting a call that they were ready, we heard that they didn't exist. So we are back to square one there. That leaves the tile in the kitchen, the master bedroom and bath, closets and the pantry. Along with all of the doors and mouldings throughout the house.
The downstairs is ready now to be insulated and dry walled. It hasn't been scheduled yet, but will be soon. Let's move outside. Again we had heavy equipment in the yard.
They had to dig a hole for the pump lift station and propane tank. Then dig up all of the trenches to lay alot of pipe.

By the end of the day it looked like a life sized ant farm. After so many months, what should show up to be delivered? Our spa tub and furnaces. they managed to maneuver the truck into the yard. The guys digging were big, I'm talking football player big and it really helped because we didn't have a fork lift to remove the items from the truck. So they just lifted them off and carried them to our garage. No way Stoneridge Guy could have pulled that one off without them.

Once everything gets the final approval and covered up, the excavator can do the final grade and we'll have a gravel driveway. Mac will be able to get back to working on building our stone wainscoting for the outside of the house.

Before we even consider landscaping, Stoneridge Guy will be building our front porch and the back deck. Our boys will be here at the end of June. We'll have some muscle power to help us do some preliminary landscaping to get us through to next spring.
We won't make our June 15th move in date, we can only hope for sometime in July. Stay tuned for more.
As you will see what once looked raw now looks beautiful! Stoneridge neighbor and stone mason Mac has been working on the fireplace and it's almost done. It still needs a hearth, mantle and needs sealing but, as you can see, it's really taking shape.
Stoneridge Guy set the first 2 cabinets, but they were completed by their maker Pat.
